By Car: From the Island Highway (Hwy.#19) you take Hwy#4 to Port Alberni. After driving about 20 minutes you will come to Cathedral Grove, a great place to stop and look at the old growth forest. After you leave this forest treasure you are only about 20 minutes from Port Alberni. Stay on Hwy#4 and follow the signs to Tofino & Ucluelet. Please ensure that you have a 1/2 tank of gas as there are no gas stations between Port Alberni and Ucluelet a distance of 87 km.(53 miles) The road is an old logging road that has been paved. It has lots of twists and turns. If you tend to get car sick you may wish to take a Gravol. The trip offers many amazing views and opportunities to stop where you can get out and have a picnic or just enjoy the scenery. The trip from Port Alberni should take about 90 minutes. Drive with caution and in the daylight when ever possible. Once you reach the T-junction turn left and drive 11.5 km. (7 miles) where you will see our sign on the left hand side of the road. You can fly to Tofino from Vancouver South Terminal using Orca Air. Visit their web site for schedules, reservation and cost. When you arrive in Tofino you can rent a car from Budget (250) 725-2060. As you leave the airport turn left (south) on to the highway and we are about 35 minutes away. Deposit: A deposit of 1 night is charged at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. Room Rates: All rates quoted are in CDN$ and are based on double occupancy, per room, per night. There will be a $30 charge for each additional guest. Prices do not include GST tax. Cancellation Policy: 14 days notice is required in the event of a cancellation. You will be refunded your one night deposit less $35 service charge. Less than 14 days notice and you will lose your entire deposit. Reservation dates may be rescheduled with no penalty, if availability allows. This policy applies to all cancellations including those arising at the last minute due to inclement weather, poor road conditions, accidents, illness, etc. We therefore recommend the purchase of trip cancellation insurance. Minimum Stay: A two night minimum stay applies at certain times of the year, please inquire. Check-in time is 3pm Check-out is 11am, please. Payment: We accept Visa, Master Card, Interac, Travelers Cheques, and Cash. Personal cheques for deposits only. Early Departure: Should you decide to cut your stay short you will be responsible for the entire stay. If we are able to re-sell the room night(s) you will be credited for the night(s) sold.
